bug with loop in arrangement view

so right now I have an 8 bar loop of just a kick and some percs layed out straight in arrangement view. it sounds fine when I first start the loop, but when the loop restarts at the beginning the first kick will sound like its not getting fully played, almost like some transients or something are missing? everything is fine when I render it, just sounds like the looper is borked! does this with a bunch of different kicks that I've tried

anyone else experience this on 8.0.8 ?
