Mouse pointer disapearing!!!! Help!

Hi,
Every so often my mouse pointer disapears! The mouse stops working and the pointer disapears- despite pluging it out and in again. The track pad and keyboard also stops.
If tried 3 different mouse/mice and no change.
It only happens when using Ableton!
Using Live 8 with MBPro. I tried installing system upgrades and it still happens.

Hi Tony,

that sounds strange. How´s your mouse/keyboard connected, do you use a hub with other USB devices attached? If so, can you reproduce the problem while plugging the mouse directly into an USB port?

No, I'm not using a hub. The mouse is plugged in directly to the mac.

which version of OS X do you use? Does it happen with any sets or just with certain ones and/or certain plug-ins loaded?

Hi,
I'm using Mac OS X 10.5.8with Live 8.0.5
This happens with no pluggins loaded.
And also with any set.

did you ever resolve this issue? Funny your on a Mac and I'm in Windows 7 and the same thing is happening. It's a brand new computer and I have to close Ableton to get my mouse cursor back. This is scary situation playing live.
