Audio In Problem

Post by tb303live » Sat Apr 17, 2010 4:47 pm

Hello,

I am running Live 8.1.1 on 64-bit Windows 7. Sound card is a M-Audio Fast Track Pro. I am having an issue with getting audio in working properly. I have the "in/out" checked properly in the view drop down and also have ASIO and M-Audio USB Asio selected in the Audio Preferences tab. I can hear my external drum machine but cannot seem to record at all. There is no option to select on the Audio In portion of the track. The only two options are "Ext In" and "configure." I have reinstalled the latest M-Audio driver which installed correctly. Audio playback is working fine. ?

Thanks in advance, I am stumped.

Do you mean that the Input button is grayed out in the sound settings window ?

Thanks for the quick response.

No... I cannot get a green bar audio signal either on 1, 2 or 1/2. But I can hear the audio playing back thru my computer. The midi isn't working either.

Can you check your settings one by one ? What kind of hardware are you using? What sound card and what audio configuration generally?

I'm not sure I follow you regarding "checking the settings one by one."

The hardware I have is an Oxygen 8 and Korg ER-1 drum machine.

I mean have you selected the right driver? Is there an ASIO and a non ASIO one ? Have you set up the inputs/outputs, sample rate etc. ?

yes i have the ASIO driver selected. inputs/outputs all are "selected." sample rate is 44100 and set to "normal."

Still nothing. Also, I can use my oxygen 8 keyboard, but the knobs cannot be assigned. Although when I twist a knob Live 8 recognizes a MIDI action from the light going on in the upper right-hand corner of the Ableton screen.

So odd.
