still there: the explosion before a clip fade problem

Post by taximouse » Sat Apr 24, 2010 6:36 am

Sorry to report that I'm still experiencing this in 8.1.3

"- crazy explosive bursts of noise on the edges of fades in the arrangement view. Bursts are way louder than the material in the clips and are quite violent in character. They go away if I add a minescule amount of space in between the clips where possible. "
I have a set created in Live 8.1.3, with one track. There is a Live reverb plugin on the master track.

In this case, there is only one clip. There is a manual fade-in on the front of the clip. The explosion happens slightly before the beginning of the clip. Peaks the meter.

If I wait a second and start the song playback from a different position...the explosion is not there.

Its intermittent but regular enough that I'm afraid I'll blow an eardrum if I've got headphones on.

Hey Zoe,

Would you mind putting up that file? I have a similar system. Maybe I can help to reproduce the bug.

Cheers

Similar problems here.

I have a backing vocals track, which is actually a duplicate of the main vocal track with different reverb settings and some transpose envelopes added. In certain part, which isn't any different from any other part, I get explosive reverb sound from Ableton Reverb. It doesn't occur every time, but if the song exported, it will be there. If I turn off the reverb, the problematic track is "swallowing" the whole master sound a little bit at that point. Theres definitely some weird crap going on.

If I play the track from beginning the sound will be there quite propably, but if I play only the problematic part, or export only that part, I get nothing.
