FAW Circle VST not showing in Ableton 8.1.3

Not sure where the issue lays but it's in the appropriate folder and i have rescanned a number of times to no avail, any suggestions please?

Hi Sureno,

working fine over here (Windows 7), which OS do you use?
If you´re on Windows, I would recommend to try this:
Create a new VST plug-in folder directly on the C: drive, move your plug-ins into this directory, adjust the VST Plug-In Custom folder location in Live´s file/folder preferences, rescan. Is Circle listed now?

im on 8.1.3 on 10.6.3
thing is when ableton scans vst's i see "circle vst" in the scan but when complete it is no where to be seen in the directory??? this is the case on 2 machines

I can reproduce the problem over here. While we´re investigating the issue, are you able to use the AU version? That one is working fine over here.

I have the same problem but with some Native Instruments and Fxpansion VSTs.

All the komplete 6, Maschine and Guru are not here. I only have Kore 2 and Microtonic.

I'm on Windows 7 with live version 8.1.3.

Do anyone have an idea? Switch back to XP?

Nope, the rescan is not working, i always have a VST folder right on C: where i can see the .dll but not in Live.

I also tried running LIve as an administrator

Are you at the root of your C:\drive? You don't want your plugin folder in C:\Program Files with either Vista or W7; that's considered protected. Another thing- remember Live's 32 bit. If you're running x64 and only have the x64 plugin versions installed, they won't show up.

If running Live as admin isn't doing it, try resetting your plugin folder to force a rescan. And yes, always run Live as admin with Vista/W7.

Thank for the help ew, it worked when i installed the x32 version of the plugins and forced a rescan by resetting the folder. And yes, i always use just C:\VST for my VSTs.

I have the same problem with LIVE 7.0.18 and Osx 10.6

After a quick google seems like a common issue.

Works fine with every other vst host I use though.
