New Intel core5 and core7 processors

Hey guys,

Are any of you using these new processors with live? How do they perform?

I'm currently using a desktop with a Pentium Dual-Core @2.60 ghz and 4 gigs of ram, and thinking about purchasing a laptop with one of these new processors.

Two questions:

1. Do you think a laptop with one of these processors will perform better than my current setup?

2. If so, core5 or core7? I've heard that core7 is marginally faster than core5, yet it costs a lot more.

I'd go with the i7 quad core. But beware of bad designed cooling. Dell had some heat probs with the 720qm
