Trigger samples at project tempo, HOW ?
Trigger samples at project tempo, HOW ?
Greetings!
ok, I have some guitar loops that I´ve drop to a Drum Rack
to be able to trigger them with my PadKontrol.
But they are playing at original tempo,
only if I use them on a session track,
they get warp and sync to the project tempo.
Is there a way to have the samples on the Drum Rack in sync too?
Thanks

That would be awesome, wouldn't it? Nope...can't happen.

The only way is to drop the sample in session view, consolidate the clip, or resample it, and then drop it in the drum rack.

But still it will only play at THAT tempo...not the Global Tempo of a new song. The dream is to have a Drum Rack full of Warped Clips that will always be in time with any moment during a performance...any BPM. Please Ableton...please??

Re: Trigger samples at project tempo, HOW ?
Well, you could always set up a new scene on your PK, and map the pads to the warped clips instead.
Re: Trigger samples at project tempo, HOW ?
I see you want timestretching (warping) for drumracks/sampler - point taken.
Remember how this worked in times before timestretching? You need to pitch up/slow down
the samples until they match your tempo. You can still do this - or follow the advice from
chapelier fou.

Christian

Re: Trigger samples at project tempo, HOW ?
Christian--thanks for the tip...I will indeed check it out. But yes...for the record: imagine the creative possibilities of a Drum Rack full of auto-warped audio clips. Imagine even if you could load MIDI clips performing on VSTi's in the same Drum Rack? Instant 'spice' under your fingers during a performance at any moment...no 'pitch wheel' or adjustment needed. This would make Solovox very, very happy.
And while I have your attention, thank you for making the software that changed my life.
