Of course! Happened that some other software installation changed the following file:
/private/etc/hosts
Just had to rewrite the right stuff in it and it worked...

Sure!
just open the following file:
/private/etc/hosts
You can navigate to this by going to the Finder and choosing 'Go To Folder' under the 'Go' menu, enter '/private/etc/' and open the hosts file in textedit.
This is what the file should look like:
##
# Host Database
#
# localhost is used to configure the loopback interface
# when the system is booting. Do not change this entry.
##
127.0.0.1 localhost
255.255.255.255 broadcasthost
::1 localhost
fe80::1%lo0 localhost
If it doesn't you have found your problem and what u need to do is simply paste this at the bottom of the file and it should work...

I'm having the same trouble here, I've tried everything here and still not working, can't change the host file cause it won't save, about to headbutt the computer here! I know this is a old post but if someone knows of something that I might not be doing right and could point me in the right direction I would very great full
