multiple midi ports same hardware

hi,

i had to reconnect my soundcard ,midi controller etc. a couple of times.. well i probably did not pay any attention to put them into the same usb or firewire port.
now ive got a mess...
there´s a multiple listing of the same midi ports in ableton.
how do i get rid of the multiple entries?
anyone got an idea ?

i´m on windows 7 64bit.

I know I've had to do this, and I think it involved some quick app download..

Thats an M-AUDIO one, just for a quick reference as to what I'm talking about.. Might uninstall drivers like this one says so I guess use at your own risk - you don't need this one obviously but something generic I guess.
