Library structure and missing samples are a mystery

Post by lazlo_funktek » Tue Aug 17, 2010 8:23 pm

I've had to re-install Windows recently and I pointed Live 8 to my library folder once I'd put it back on the computer. It reinstalled a load of things and spent ages scanning the files.

Now, when I put an electronic Impulse instrument in it can't find the samples. They're in 'library\waveforms\drums'. how am i supposed to find out where ableton would like them to be?

also, once i've pointed it towards the folder with the samples in, it doesn't automatically put them in. it just says there are however many candidates. i then have to double click each one, then double click it in the top left window for it to be loaded in. once i'd done them all, i loaded in exactly the same instrument again, but onto another channel. it was still missing the samples in the new instrument. how can i get ableton to see all the files it needs?

the repair library button is also greyed out, as i've used it recently.
