Issue when using Impulse

Post by stinlin » Wed Aug 18, 2010 2:06 pm

So I decided to go through the tutorial files and read the manual finally. :) It's paying off immensely! But I've run into an odd issue that I can't seem to figure out. I'm on a Mac for the record.

I loaded a drum loop and created an impulse track. I highlight the region I want to place into the impulse slot, press the down arrow key, but when I do this, it deselects the region I wanted to drag from the loop. From the tutorial, it looked like I should be able to do this, but when I hit the down arrow key, it should keep the region selected so I can then drag and drop it into the impulse slot.

Can anyone help me figure out what's going on? I thought it might be a setting, but I didn't mess with anything that would suggest this. :( Fail. Also, I'm running 8.1.4 at the moment.

Hi Stinlin,

please try if it works to:
- mark the region
- click into the clip´s header and drag the region from there into an Impulse slot

Best,
