"Invalid product ID" - But I have a legit copy!

Greetings Ableton users,

I've had my copy of Live 8 for about a year now and for some reason I just got a message about one of my project files saying "Invalid Product ID". I can't even open this project now, but I can open all my others. It doesn't make sense to me since I'm not using a pirated version of Live and no pirated plugins or anything! Any help would be greatly appreciated because I really need this project file for a live show I have coming up.

SAME! i kinda figured it was part of the beauty of live, some beats blossoming into beautiful, unexpected pieces of music and other dying off like a sick zebra. anyway, now that i know other people with legit copies have this problem i'd really like that music back.

This is only happening with some live sets, while others are working?

Are there any particular plugins that you've used in these sets? Do you have Suite licenses or Live licenses?

Yes, I'm only getting this error message on one particular Live set. Everything else is working just fine.
I don't have a suite license , I only bought Live 8.
And the only plugins/vsts i'm using are ones that came with ableton.
Thanks for the heads up, I will also email tech support.

Yes, this sounds like an unusual problem - include a copy of the als file of the set, if you can. Thanks!

hello

i'm facing the same problem with one of my ableton files: i can no longer open this file
and the text message "Invalid product ID" appears.
i have purchased ableton live 8.0.1 a few weeks ago and i have updated this morning to 8.2.1

any help is very much appreciated !

I'm having the same problem after trying to change the name on my Ableton file- then change it back. My others open fine, but after a late night mixing, it seems I've lost everything. HELP.
