hi there,
since a couple of weeks my Live (4.0.3) failes to read some samples I have in my library.
Most of them were created using the Renderin of Live, some others with WaveLab.
When I want to audition the samples by some of them I get the following message:
unable to read sample "xxx" (it may be corrupt).
I tried to open those corrupt samples with WaveLab and save them under a new name but I get the same message.
The strange thing is that if I drop these samples into a Live track then it reads them flawlessy, but that I put 4 or 5 corrupted samples into a track I get the message "a serious error has occurred. You should try to save your work under a new name".
Anyone of you has experienced the same problem?
BTW m Live 4.0.3 is running on a Pentium IV 2.5 GHZ / 512 Mb RAM/WinXP Home SP1.
Any feeeback or suggestion will be highly appreciated.
All the best & stay groovy,

i've seen similar, but, tracked it down to file permissions. make sure that you can read/write the file if you have more than one user acct on your machine. you may have loaded onto your machine in one user account, and then try to usse in another.
