NEED HELP PLEASE!

I'm trying to use simpler, analog, operator, and all those type of things... but when i try to drag them to the bottom it won't let me. Also, for example, if I click on "operator" a bunch of other things come up like "synthetic woodwind" "synthetic voice" "synth strings" and i click on them and nothing is there... all i was is the default setting of operator so i can make a bass for my project... now is there something that I'm doing wrong? or is the version of ableton I have at fault? I download Ableton Live 8 straight from the website... so if it is Ableton that is messing up, will they let me download it again onto my computer?

Please, any help on this would be greatly appreciated. I'm really trying to understand Live, it's just hard. but i'm learning. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!

Do you have Ableton Suite? Simpler should work, but I don't think that Analog and Operator are included/work with anything other than Suite.
