Live Suite 8 install dvds

Ok quick question. Install pdf instructions say that session drums is 28GB, but after i install its only a little over 12GB. Is this correct?
DVD 1
Stereo Packages= 5.5GB
LE Stereo Packages= 1.9GB
DVD2
Multimic Packages= 4.7GB

Also the box for suite 8 says 48GB of space required but my total size for live suite 8 is 23.5GB. Is that correct also?

I think the Files on DVD are packed so that the Filesize will not say something about the space it takes on your HD.

Did you install the EIC Instruments Collection ? this gives even 12 GB more on the Disk.

My Suite Library says 38 GB but I did'nt install the LE Stereo Drums.
These are smaller and lower quality Samples for use on slower Computers.

If you have a powerfull machine, you wouldn't need them and better work with the full size HQ Samples.

Ahhh... and DEFRAG your Drive after installing the whole Suite !!!!!!! you would wonder...

There are even on the very first DVD "Programm Disk" some files that must be installed !!!

Think I got your problem ....

By reading your post again it falls clear.

How did you install ?

1. Install the Live Programm from the very first Disk.
2. Run Live and register it on the Website
3. Download the latest Version of Live from Web (the Version on Disk is 8.0.1 - actaual its 8.2.1)
4. Uninstall the old Version and Install the new.
5. Run Live (should now be 8.2.1)
6. Put in Disk 1 of the Drum DVDs
7. Go to the Browser on the left and klick on Button 2 or 3 and choose your DVD Drive.
8. Choose Stereo Packages and You will see the Files with .alp endings
9. Select ALL these Files in one and Drag/Drop them into the middle Track-Field of live

_NOW go out with your dog, have a cold beer or two or doing some dishes.....

10. REPEAT step 7 - 9 with the Disk 2 and the EIC Disk and after that Put in Programm Disk and do same.

_NOW your house is clean, your Car is clean, your dog is clean and your Suite is installed...

Installing took me abaout 3 and a half Hours.
