recording without automation rewriting

Hi,

Is there a way i can record my audio/midi take without rewriting my previous automation ( volume , pan ... )

Lock the envelopes previous automations by clicking the padlock icon above all the tracks names in arrangement view. It's just right of 'Set' with arrows on either side. You can also lock them in the options menu. Just remember to change the setting back before attempting to adjust them again. Check out page 256 in the Live 8 manual for further reference. It may explain this better than I can.
