Synth Sounds Changing/Drifting throughout song?

I was wondering if someone could tell me why my synth sounds tend to "drift" in and out of that core area where i really like the sound. Seems to go from being tight to a little bit more "loose"... if that makes sense? It just tends to fade in and out of that sweet spot where it sounds great. Im using NI Massive 1.1.5 right now within ableton live 8. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. To my knowledge i havent set any paramaters like an lfo or something that would cause the timbre to change like that. Though pretty subtle change, I can still notice it. Thanks in advance!

Some softsynths (and VA hard synths) deliberately let the tuning drift to emulate 'true analogue', maybe this is what is happening? Should be a preference somewhere.

Maybe I'm wrong but I would think its something in Massive you're not noticing or an interface issue somehow... find it hard to believe Ableton would be doing random, explicable things to the synth...

only thing i can think of is that i have phase on one of the oscillators. Without phase on it though, i dont get the same sound... Could that be it?
