help request on grid snap recording midi

Post by dj mush » Sat Feb 19, 2011 7:22 pm

Hi,

I know how to snap midinotes to the grid within a clip after recording them...
but what i don't find in ableton is how to record midi and while recording
they snap to grid (without having to do it afterwards)

just like an mpc, when you press record, with a time of 1/4, you just have to hit pads,
without worrying the about timing, as the mpc locks it to a grid automatically.
I didn't find out how to do this in ableton.

anyone?
cheers,
jan
