Create multisample in Sampler

Post by p8guitar » Sun Mar 27, 2011 8:29 pm

I want to import 26 samples into sampler and every sample should be played by a different note. Can I achieve this automatically, or do I have to adjust the keyboard zones for every single sample?
There is a command "distribute zones evenly" or so, but I want the zones to be exactly one note for every sample, not several notes.

Or is a drum rack the better solution for this?

As far as I know, multisample mode was only for staff and developers. I have no idea how to make a user multisample mode...

and anyway, if you own Sampler, you can pack samplers into multisample simplers...

the answer is:

drag the 26 samples into a Sampler.

highlight (select) ALL 26 samples in the zone editor.

use the cursor to drag the upper and lower limits of the range, so that it's 26 notes long (if all are selected, it will change all samples' zone limits at the same time) and the 26 notes are the ones which you want to use

now, using the context menu, "distribute ranges equally"

done

:)

I would HIGHLY recommend watching the ill.Gates tutorial for Eskamon's "Fine Objects". It really demonstrates the creative possibilities you can unlock with Sampler.
