grouping drum racks to drum racks

can someone help me out. i dont understand the point...

so i made this drum rack and thought, yeah ok i'll group it then i can drop another drum rack in and have 2 drum racks in one and maybe i can switch between them, but when i grouped it i just grouped the drum rack to one cell on the new drum rack, and i couldnt play any of the sounds... i dont get it. why is doing that useful and what am i missing?
