Driver error compensation help

Im trying to follow the lesson in Live about setting driver error compensation. Its telling me i need to attach an audio cable from the soundcard input to the soundcard output which I have done but im still recieving no signal. probs a settin on my soundcard but can anyone help?

got it, just needed to adjust the volume
