how can i get tempo LED feedback on the APC40?
how can i get tempo LED feedback on the APC40?
I know on the launchpad this is a bit more straightforward with the user mode. i'd like to make one of my buttons light up to the tempo of the music. i do have max4live which should be of help here.
Re: how can i get tempo LED feedback on the APC40?
You can do it without max for live if you'd like, have the APC40 set up as a midi controller with remote for the output set to on...
Create a midi track with a clip of one beat long and set the output of that track to the apc40....
Draw one note into the clip.... Then move it up the scale until it's lighting the button you want, the APC40 receives mid on midi channel 1 to 8 so you'll need to change this to suit as well...

Re: how can i get tempo LED feedback on the APC40?
Yeah, use a velocity of zero to be off and then 1,2,3,4,5,6... each odd number is a solid colour and each even number is the flashing version...

Cool man, yeah the velocity will do the lights for you....
the first column is midi channel 1 the second 2 etc....
If you want to avoid it turning off either:
A, remove all Clip Stop buttons by highlighting every other clip slot below you midi clip, right clicking and choosing the "Remove Stp Button Option" or CMD E on a Mac...
B, Duplicate the clip into every space so that it launches everytime you launch a new scene

if you mute the channel it won't send midi out (it's in my video too).S4racen wrote:What do you mean by muted? it's only if the clip stops??
