how to workaround the global beat quantisation

Post by razvano » Wed Feb 22, 2012 10:15 pm

Hey to all,

i'm using Live not only for music performing or arranging, but mostly for sounddesign at contemporary danceperformances and experimental soundart.
Therefore i seldom need a global beat, because the Sound is not rhythmically in a musical way.
Is there any way to work around that global beat quantisation. So that I can start and stop a clip immidiatly after pressing the button, and not only at the first beat of the bar.
I for example already tried out to set the beat to a very high number, whitch helped that the start/stop-reaction is closer to my intention, but then of course all loops I use are proportionately faster played, which is also not cool, if I e.g. use one spoken word in a loop.

It would be very great if somebody could help me, or give me some ideas how to solve that problem!
Thanks already!!!

At the top, global quantization is set to "1 Bar". Change it to None, and have fun!
