Hi.
Not used Ableton for long - but have got into what I reckon is a bad habit and would welcome any advice in changing this.
Basically this is what I do for each track
1) Program starts in session mode view
2) I start recording
3) I go into arrangement mode and copy the clip.
4) I go into session mode and paste the clip in one of the scenes.
However I always thought that when I recorded - the clip would be in both the arrangement mode and the session mode.
I like using session mode for starting clips at different points and experimenting.
So is there a way I can get my recorded clips to go straight into a spare spot in session mode so I don't have to copy and paste ?
Any help with this welcome.
Mark

From either Arrange or Session:
There is no need to copy and paste. Just place your mouse on a clip, (In Session view) click and hold, touch the Tab key and drop it onto a track in the Arrange.
It works exactly the same from the Arrange to Session. Click hold on a track, touch Tab and drop into an empty clip of choice.

ALSO you can rec into both views at the same time if you hit the global record button before hitting the rec button on the clip...
