I want to route a channel group (drum kit) so that an autofilter cuts it off completely. However, within that group, the snare is already going to a parallel compression send. When I cut off the group, the snare continues to the compressor / send, and as a result it remains unfiltered / uncut by the autofilter.
The only solution I can think of is to duplicate the autofilter onto the send, so that one knob controls both devices.
Any thoughts on a simpler routing solution?
Here's an interesting routing challenge

Or duplicate the compressor on the snare drum track
Seems odd to be using a compressor as a send effect - what's your reasoning behind that?

Some people will do parallel compression like that. I think an effects rack insert is a better solution for it, though.crumhorn wrote:Or duplicate the compressor on the snare drum track

Hey Crumhorn, here's the way I do it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-K-Slp6jQo. It allows you to spice up multiple channels with a single device, saving RAM
