Midi port options not showing up.

I recently upgraded my computer from Leopard to Snow Leopard. Ever since my upgrade my midi port options arent showing up in the midi sync preferences in Live. I also keep getting a Midi Core error message popping up. I'm unable to use any midi controllers with Live as a result. Does anyone know what this causing this problem?
