Can someone help a noob with dubstep making?

So, I really want to make dubstep. But how? What plugins/tricks do I need to use? Any help is awesome. 
That depends heavily on what you refer to when you say "Dubstep".
do you mean annoying mid-range vomiting transformer sounds, or dark heavy atmospheric stuff?

plug-ins you *NEED* = a synth with the possibility to modulate the filter via lfo, i.e. practically any softsynth.
