syncing live via midi to Cubase on another computer?

I have Cubase on my home PC running as the master, and then my notebook PC running Live as the slave. Unfortunately Live has a problem syncing perfectly to incoming midi clock or timecode. Plus it still has a problem syncing with barely any samples sequencing, and absolutely no lagging (processing dificulties) on either computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

live sync

Hello

I had exactly the same problem trying to sync Live on a PC to cubase on an Atari ST. Sometimes I would find the timing gradually drifting after a minute or two but other times just opening a drop down menu or inserting a plugin would cause Live to completely lose sync with Cubase.

I tried everything I could think of but with no improvement. Then I upgraded the processor from a pentium II 350 to a pentium III 800 & this completely cured the problem. When running Live with the old processor the CPU usage meter rarely rose above 40%. I did however find that when I used different CPU monitoring software (there's loads available on the internet)it shot up to 100% when running Live so I wouldn't necessarily trust the readings from Live's CPU meter.
