clips not retaining warp mark settings

after creating various clips of one piece of audio, I then clicked save in each of the clips properties and then dragged all the new clips into a folder in the browser but then when I tried to individually reintroduce each clip into another set I found that each clip had lost its warp marker settings that I thought I had saved ?
2.16ghz mbp 3gb, motu ultralite
