it is a really good software with a lot of audio sequencing features,
but,
i did a test on the audio
1.- putting one loop in sound forge (check the output)
2.-then i was putting the same loop in ableton live,
at the original tempo and volume settings,
and there was a noticeable loss of higs and mids in the output???
in sound forge sound it better about a 10% better,
i dont know if it is due to the fact that live, ajust the loop to its master tempo?
i hope can be fix in the new upgrade?
i dont know,if some one else notice that?
for the rest of the features of the software are impresive, and i am happy with it....

audio quality of ableton live?
Hi Pepe, I can basically think of just two reasons for the loss in sound quality you have experienced: 1) Live will always time-stretch / compress the sample unless the Clip View's original tempo setting matches the project tempo (as set in the Control Bar). 2) The sample rate of the sample does not match the sample rate of the output as set in the audio prefs. In this case, Live will perform a real-time sampling rate conversion (the quality of which can be improved by activating the Hi-Q switch in the Clip View).
re: audio quality of ableton live?
thanks gerhard!
i will check that today, i notice that loss of higs yesterday when i was using sounds from drum machines 606, even with the same tempo, i will try the hi Q settings
