How to upgrade from Special version

I have just got a special (Novation) version of Live, which is version 2.2.

I want to upgrade to version 3, but the instructions seem to say that the PC that the original version is on, has to be connected to the internet to carry out the upgrade.

As my PC is not, how do I do this ?

Any advice appreciated.
