sure
hey Sambo
There is not too much audiio and midi apps available, but sure...
pete yandells web site is good, he makes a great little app called MIDI patchbay which lets you re-route midi, merge and filter data.
This is a way for you use multiple MIDI devices with LIVE - just merge the inputs.
go to his links sections and you will find lots of other os x midi and audio links,
MIDI monitor is useful for listing all incoming MIDI,SIMPLESYNTH is an access point to the OS X quicktime instruments replacement

Multi-client ASIO streaming... um i'm not sure what that means but if you mean that you can have different software apps using the same asio device, yes thats true.
In os 9 you would get the message "Sorry that ASIO device is being used by another application" or something.
In X you don't get that at all.
All the audio routing possibilities don't have a panel yet, it is coming in 10.2. You will be able to plug any input/ output from any device to any piece of software, and the same for midi.
cheerio, unfortunately there is not too much info on Mac OS X's capabilites available.
For LIVE performance it is great - extremely stable and very low latency(1-2 ms), even on USB devices. It will only get better, when the next release starts to offload all the graphics processing to the graphics card instead of eating up CPU + all the MIDI and Audio tools will finally be available.
There are a number of freebie OS X plugins available. eg the mda, dfx and a few other "families"
you can find most at

all the best LIVEers, and if anyone knows any other OS X info then please add it here.
BTW I use Tascams USB428 for audio, midi and a control surface in OS X, it works flawlessly.
