As marked on the subject, it's really really annoying to have to close Live then open a new session to work with... When this feature will be take off?

Live 3.04
Win XP
1GO of ram
creamware audiocard
100 go+80 GO HD
radeon 9200Se

Not using the demo are you? Or a full version that hasn't been authorised (properly) - which amounts to the same thing? Probably not. Just a thought.

sound very strange......
I do sessions which last up to 12 hours without to have to do any restart, both on an iBook and on a desktop PC.
strange!

when you either
a) authorise it - did you add any new hardware after auhorising it?
b) sort your PC out - stop looking at porn (although even that doesn't bother mine)
c) update to latest drivers
d) get a better fan if it's a desktop, or try better ventilation if it's a laptop, maybe raise the laptop off the desk at each corner to allow air to flow underneath (just in case you're overheating from working it hard) - I've found, oddly enough, that when using my laptop on one particular desk with a shiny surface and enclosed bit where the laptop goes (where a monitor would normally) that my laptop is more likely to overheat - although even then it's usually after many many hours of running flat out.

have a look on these forums, most XP users find it solid as a rock, it really does sound like it's just you

My version of Live is authorized. I don't look at any porn or ******* sites.
It's doing this on my deckstop and my laptop. I wrote my config on my first post. Live is the only app that seems to "freeze" in time after 30-35 minutes of work. Both on laptop or deckstop. What drivers are you talking about? I already read a post like me in the forum, is someone found a solution? I really can't see how to work without live but, for the while it's really annoying to quit and then load again the app.

it does sound weird - I'm wondering if you have a vst or rewire app that you have on both machines you are using that it doesn't like

i guess you've tried a reinstall?

Maybe a win XP repair, or system restore if it started doing it after you installed something, but not if it's always done it

what sound cards do you have?

There are alot of XP users here and I haven't seen this reported before

It does the same problem on my new deckstop that i bought one months ago... And it does the problem launch on itself. I didn't tried because i don't use too much Live as a slave app with other prog. I prefer to give ram and CPU usage to each phase of work. I use a creamware audio card on my deckstop and i have same prob with my laptop which soundcard is an M-Audio USB Audiophile. It's while playing sounds in each mode.

Your set up is almost identical to mine...no problems here. Have you tried re installing the software? Are other programmes running in the background?
