Live 7.0.1.exe not closing!

Win XP Home. Whenever i close Ableton the program shuts down as it should, but it seems to be running in the background even after i close it, using up my CPU. An "End Process" command does nothing.

Could somebody please provide some insight as to how to rectify this problem?

I had this with issue my BCR2000, using the microsoft default USB driver.
turn off the BCR and it would release the process.

any clues there?

We'll i'm using an Axiom 25 and a FastTRack Pro. The program is still running in the background after i shut these off.

does the problem persist with Live 7.0.3?

In case it does: please contact support@ableton.com with your log.txt included. You´ll find the log.txt in Live´s preferences folder. The easiest way to access this is via the help menu:
- click on "Get Support"
- in Help View, click on "Show preferences folder"
