dropouts using internal soundcard of my macbook

Post by nosuch » Tue May 06, 2008 5:26 pm

this is my system: macbook, 1.83, 2 gigs of ram, mac os 10.5.2, live 6.0.10

we recorded some songs with 7 tracks yesterday (use some compressors and eq and 1 master reverb) and as the motu stays in the studio, i wanted to listen to it through the internal card of my macbook. but sound keeps dropping out.
i can only set the puffer between 61 and 93 samples, other setting do not work at all. anyway system load is around 29 %
i haven't used live for some time but cannot remember having this before.

what's wrong?
...just trying to figure out how to make my computer sing....

Ah, if only I had 1 Euro each time! :)

You can find some advice on how to uninstall the buggy Apple Airport update here: http://www.ableton.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=89139

Hi, I have a 1.83 ghz macbook, its the first generation I think. I´m having problems with the motu ultralite, and CPU is quiet high compared to a macmini with 2ghz.
