Instrument replaces midi effect

Live 7.0.5
Have a midi effect on a midi track with no instrument.
Drop an instrument into the track itself.
- Midi effect is gone.

I'm fairly sure this is intentional.
There are some other threads complaining about it, but I'm not going to search them out at the moment..

I heard that the tiny people who play the MIDI instruments are on strike. You won't see them leaving, they're too small, but when they get back they'll they'll bring your MIDI effects with them. Likely they'll even still have the presets, the knobs are too big for the tiny people to turn.
