Reaktor 5 Shutdown in Live 7

Post by craftycurate » Mon Jun 16, 2008 5:10 am

Is anyone else experiencing this?

I'm trying out different ensembles in Reaktor 5 (running inside Live 7.0.7) and every so often, Live audio output ceases and Live 7 gets very sluggish. To get sound back I have to quit Live and restart.

I haven't noticed a pattern yet e.g. happening with certain ensembles and so on.

Can anyone suggest what is happening? Is this a known problem?

Thanks
Richard

P.S. Latest versions of Reaktor and Live are being used.

My guess is you have an older computer, and your CPU is being punished by Reactor.

Core 2 Duo, 2GHz
2GB 667 RAM
7200rpm HD
Win XP Pro
Novation nio 2/4 with latest drivers.
M-audio Oxygen 8 MIDI controller.

It's not CPU- I'm running at 10-30% on this project.

Thanks
Richard

Yes - I've done all that. I'm wondering if it might be the Novation nio drivers ...
