[4511] Warp marker bug

Post by Tarekith » Thu Jan 22, 2009 8:56 pm

The warp markers are showing up only as square blocks here, instead of pointed blocks like in the past.

Ok found the bug. To reproduce:

- Load up a sample

- Create some warp markers

- Delete a Transient

- Right-click the waveform and select "Reset Transients"

Now all the warp markers are blocks.

FWIW I didn't do any of that, just loaded a previous Live 7 set and that's how they were already.

Same here. Whatever I do, they always look like boxes.

Same as hoffman here. And if you add new warp markers, the new ones will have the correct shape and the old ones stay square

Maybe I'm being thick, but are you sure it isn't designed to be like this?

Warp markers are square blocks and transient markers downward arrows.

If you have a warp and transient marker in the same place then you get both.

To add to that and confirm it (I think), if you add a new warp marker and then right click it you can delete the transient from it and it turns to a square warp marker.

If you right click on a square warp marker and add a transient you get the downward arrow as well.

It kind of all makes sense when you think about it.

Is that from a track warped in Live 7? If so, are you sure the warp marker and transient are in exactly the same place?

Another thing that supports what I said - when you load a track (ie a warped clip) from Live 7 it looks like it performs an analysis to pick up the transients and whilst it does all the existing warp markers appear as square boxes.
