Create a new set, drag "Collision -> Mallets -> Mallets-Basic Vibes" into a MIDI track, play a few chords. On my 4-core 3GHz machine, cpu rapidly goes up to 25% and stays there, which is the limit for a single core.
However, when I call up the system performance meter, it shows more like 8%. Could it be that the Live cpu meter is showing fraction of one core? I do have multi-core/multi-processor turned on.
[4945] Collision seems to take up surprising amount of cpu

The difference between theory and practice is that in theory, there is no difference between theory and practice, but in practice, there is.

Hi,
I moved the topic away. See my answer there:

Collision does use quite a lot of CPU because its processing is quite heavy, but this peculiar bug has been fixed.
