Not so much a beta bug, as something I assumed would be addressed in Live 8.
Live does not offer access to the factory presets of AU plug-ins, only to those of VST plug-ins. Why is this?

sorry, but i actually don't really understand what you mean by AU Factory Presets not accessible. After you load an AU plugin, activate the HotSwap Button left to the Save Preset button in the titlebar of the plugin device. If the plugin comes with AU Factory Presets build in the plugin itself they will show up in Lives plugin browser right below the plugin itself.
Afaik VST plugins don't have such Factory Presets.

My apologies, you're quite right.
My VSTs do have presets, which show up in the VST program dropdown in the plug-in device. I was expecting to see the AU's factory presets there.
