Push 2 - Touch Strip - Enhanced functionality

I would like to have the Push touch strip more freely assignable to parameters like: channel fader, filter cutoff, other synth parameters, arpeggiator morphing etc.

It feels painfully under utilized as a futuristic mod wheel/pitch bend.

I'm sure their are m4l patches that add this functionality but it seems like it should be a fundamental controller ability. Hit the Push 2 Mix button and the touch strip becomes the channel fader. It would really make automation a lot more fun and tactile. Mixing should be done on a fader not a knob.

Maybe someone can enlighten me on ways to enhance this aspect of the Push 2.
