Equal Power Crossfade by default in arrangement view

Post by Fibratus » Thu Feb 08, 2018 7:44 pm

The default crossfade in arrangement view is not equal power.

I don't understand why anyone would want a dip in perceived volume in each cross fade by default.

Manually going in and dragging up the central node to make the crossfade smooth takes a huge amount of time and workflow interruption.

I propose a feature to default to equal power, or in preferences allow the user to control default fade type.

I think this feature is critical for basic audio editing.

I completely agree. When trying to make a continuous drone or pad noise the crossfades dip. Equal Power crossfades please!!

I'm digging out this ancient thread since this is still something I miss very very much. Equal power crossfades are ESSENTIAL to audio editing. Not being able to use them in Ableton is a real pain
