With an instrument like BFD2, you get 32 outputs (Ableton limits them to 24, but that's another discussion!) in Pro Tools you can auto-assign these to tracks with a key-command. So lets say you've got 8-tracks... you can assign 8 outputs in a row to each of the tracks.. so;
track 1 = output 1
track 2 = output 2
etc..
In Live 8, currently, you can select the eight tracks, and assign them all to output 1, or output 2, etc.. but you can't seemingly assign them in a row, so you can't get this within a few clicks;
track 1 = output 1
track 2 = output 2
track 3 = output 3
track 4 = output 4
track 5 = output 5
track 6 = output 6
etc.. etc..
Can this make it into Live 8 ??
