export of mp3

it would be nice if when i made a new song or track idea and can directly export this as from live as mp3 to send a friend for prelisten, or to relase on a website and so on.

That may add as much as $40 to the price of Ableton because they have to pay the creator of the codec for each copy of Live sold. I still think it should be at least an optional plugin.

The Abletons could maybe integrate the free LAME encoder which comes with the LGPL. I am not a legal specialist, but I think it means that you can integrate LAME in your product without being forced to distribute your own source code.

I don't really know why there is no MP3 export support in Ableton Live yet. I guess there are some other issues I am not aware of because it cannot be that such a feature haven't come across the Ableton's minds yet.
