Anyway to assign AFTERTOUCH to a fader???

I want to be able to use aftertouch to raise and lower the value of a fader of pan control. As you might know midi works from 0-127, and even though a pan knob may say 63LEFT, its midi value is 0 - where as 64RIGHT is 127... so that wouldn't be a problem.

Is this possible?

I just tried doing it using a midi loop, to no avail.
