Send Knob Zero button

Post by The Kooky Scientist » Sun Aug 18, 2002 5:07 pm

Would be great if the send knobs behaved like the pan knobs. Maybe when clicking on the character under the send knob will automatically zero that knob ?

Would make for faster adjustment of send levels without having to resort to external controllers.

by setting the sends to zero do you mean :

a) go to 0 dB
b) go to -INF dB ( shut it down )

?

a) go to 0db

Just to be able to quickly click on something to kill a send level.

What could be a BETTER idea would be to have a toggle switch for that Auxillery send.

So if you press it, then it doesn't send the audio to auxillery. pressing it again would bring you back to normal (previous) level of send.

This is better then a reset switch because it means that you can easily go back to where you were in a live LIVE performance.

Maybe if you touch the knob then the switch will turn back on automagically.

(This would be good to turn effects on and off for a track..My aux sends are often used for a bunch of tracks, and simply turning off the effect would not be good because all the other tracks would loose FX.)

I do live performance with a guitar, and this would be a great option!

(My guitar has a keypad and I have a data glove controlling LIVE whilst playing the guitar, very cool.. I will post some pictures when I can)

... the toggle method is definitly the most performance orientated way !
i am not sure how much work it will be to implement this but i will put it on our todo list !
