MIDI/Key Group Tracks Hide & Unhide?
MIDI/Key Group Tracks Hide & Unhide?
Why can't I MIDI or key assign the hide/unhide function of the group tracks? It should be very simple to implement and would really expand the group tracks feature with the APC40. The way my setup is now I have to toggle over through all of my tracks and can only mix one set of 8 tracks... or sit there clicking hide/unhide to get to my groups so I can control whole groups of sounds at once which is more useful for mixing live.

Yeah I'm really missing this as well.
I'd really like to be able to midimap fold/unfold group tracks.
This needs to be mappable!

The 'workaround' is NativeKontrol's program which allows you to navigate over to the track and manually fold/unfold the groups. Not the greatest system by any stretch.glitchrock-buddha wrote:Yeah I'm really missing this as well.

In the meantime I've set global on/off switches for my groups to turn entire groups on and off. It works ok for the time being, but this feature seems to be a no brainer. Why have groups to save real estate when you can't fold and unfold them quickly and easily?

Still Waiting on this! I use a Qcon Pro X control surface which uses the mackie control protocol and I wish so much I could assign the group button.
This is easy to do on logic. Full customisations of key/midi commands at your finger tips.
Considering the price of ableton next to logic, this sort of thing should come included and not be missed.
As a piece of software, Ableton is really starting to seem crumby around the edges these days... Lots of little things like this seem to be missing, as though the developers don't use their own software much...
