Multi band Dynamics to have Key input on each Band!

Waveforms to be partially colored.,, ie. To be able to save a different color over choice parts in a waveform be it chorus, breakdown, drum loop or w/e for quick glance identification. possible mappable to keys, or drag-able to session view box!

Cool thread!

Some features I would like to see:

* A Pitch Shifter effect, like the Digitech Whammy pedal. I record live loops and therefore can't touch assign a midi controller to the 'transpose' effect on a clip that hasn't been created yet! I know several other people who do live looping with Ableton who feel the same way.

* The Transient envelope in the sample section of the clip view needs to be MIDI controllable.

* Time signature changes without using scenes!! This should be MIDI controllable.

* A MIDI effect to convert note information to Control Change information, and vice versa.

Some new ones....

* As requested in a separate thread, a Global Key would be nice, which would enable Global transposition. It can be done quickly enough with the MIDI Pitch effect, but this way would be much quicker.

* And how about support for unusual rhythms such as Quintuplets, Septuplets etc etc.... it is annoying to have to switch to Sibelius and export to a MIDI file for usage in Ableton. In Sibelius, you choose the note length and hit CTRL + 5 to make this happen, Abes should take this on board.

come on of-course they r listening ;0
this is the point of the one big topic... it may have more attention that way

i know some of us asking for crazy things that will never see the light but again you never know.

something that is complicated for us may be something very easy for the abes (and the opposite)

I would also like to be able to choose which of Live's effects should appear in the browser. I've never used beat repeat or vinyl distortion for example, so I don't want them in my list.

COLOR = PITCH

I've said it before, posted some topics, and had NO replies yet!
Unbelievable because this feature would be so clarifying/handy and probably pretty simple to implement?

Is there a DAW that shows waveform graphics like freesound.org does?

Just by looking at these waveforms you can imagine how it would globally sound, not only the rhythm but also the pitch, it adds a third dimension to the waveform

i have two more:

multiple time signatures. not as we have now, but multiple time signatures per track, not globally.
also multiple tempos per track.
some very interesting polyrhytmic stuff can be done with that.

oh. i also want to be albe to colorize my automation curves and/or tracks (not just he clips,t he entire tracks, including the trackbackground). ever tried having some 50 automation points open at once on a track? its like asking for a heartattack and neurological meltdown at once. red lines with dots all over the place, and everything looks exactly the same. completely incoherent.

Clips

- would be cool if we could multi-color clips
so half a clip is one color and the other half is another.
i know it sounds weird and possibly stupid, but imagine having a two color scheme where one color indicates harmonic mixing compatibility, and the other to indicate possible mood - opener, mellow, or climax type track...

I completely agree with the dual screen support.

The GUI is too busy as it is. It would be also nice to see some skinnable choises for the GUI, for maybe a bit more futuristic look. This really affects the workflow and creativity.

Also, some kind of exiter would be nice too, as well as transient designer.

Love Ableton, my workhorse of choise by far.

Peace.

i'd like instead to have optionally a visual representation of some modulation-value that you automated (like a filter sweep, or what ever).

my list would be quite big, filled with tiny ideas that could help, while not being complicated to implement. if i would like to life in germany, i would tried to get a job there.. :)

Choose quantize Mode before recording (auto quantize while playing, like for example in Logic)
