Guitarist features
For guitar takes it would be great to have:
1) Built in high quality tuner
2) A special track for stereo acoustic recording
3) Comping feature
Thanks,
Tamir

Re: Guitarist features
hi there. I am a guitarist too. Can you give me more tips on which guitar gadget is the best to use? I am using boss but it's an old model. I want to buy a new one but I want to make sure it is a quality product to buy in terms of the sound and variety of effects. I also want to purchase a new guitar amplifier. I have one right now, but I am not satisfied with its sound. Help me out please. Thanks.

Re: Guitarist features
I agree, a high quality tuner would be a great help for instrumentalists who use Live onstage, it's one less piece of equipment we have to remember to bring to gigs. Nonetheless something like this may prove helpful:1) Built in high quality tuner

I am not sure why Ableton's current stereo recording features are anything less than adequate, would you mind expanding on what problems who are experiencing?2) A special track for stereo acoustic recording
The best software out there for comping is a program called 'Band in a Box.'3) Comping feature
Nonetheless, you can do this very easily with Live, by recording yourself, using drums and bass to create excellent backing tracks, or downloading MIDI files from the net and putting them into live with the appropriate instrument sounds.
I hope that is helpful

Tamir: The best way to record an acoustic guitar (in my mind) is to use two mic's, so today I create 3 tracks, 1 for each mick routed to a central track where I put all the effect processors (EQ, COMP, etc.) It would be great if we had an object like thisI agree, a high quality tuner would be a great help for instrumentalists who use Live onstage, it's one less piece of equipment we have to remember to bring to gigs. Tamir - by comping I mean to take specific parts of multiple takes, and creating one complete "perfect" take of a vocal/guitar or any other audio part.Quote:

Re: Guitarist features
I would also like a tuner featured
It would be great if the tuner feature could also help as a general audio plug in to help set root notes for samples etc...
Other features that would be useful:-
Being able to open more than one midi clip in session or arrangement view for editing

+1 for GR. I use GR4 with Live and they go really well together.
