I agree with callaghansan - it's a sensible list rather than minor things like surround sound, wacom support.

A feature to turn off scene launch to both free up more space and make mistakes less often when using touch controllers (lemur/ipad) or the novation/akai products would be awesome for DJing.

dunno if anyone suggest this already, or if it is on any way already possible in Ableton: "Looper" with the possibility to change (separately) loop bpm, or loop speed.

cheers.

I think, they should release any moment. Thats no tonly because I want them to, but also because statistcs say that:

So, 18 months form 8 to 9. 8 was released in April 2009, so up to know, ~19 months have passed. That is:
For each version we will have to wait longer, and as we still dont have 9, the trend seems to increase!

made out of the former release-dates found here:

P.S.: YES I AM BORED UNTIL LIVE 9 COMES
My English is not perfect, I know... Sorry about that.

P.S. to wishlist forum users: Please search for former requests. Otherwise they will be splitted into many small ones and we are loosing impact!!!

Thank you for that more-fantastic-than-expected answer! (Seriously, I'm not being sarcastic.)

And what a wonderful christmas present Live 9 would be. Live 9 with comping.

Omg I just had a thought I hope they're not gonna make Live 9 Intel-only on the Mac side, following the trend of the other DAW's. That'll be annoying although admittedly, and much to my chagrin, probably sort of logical. For them.

Faster search engine and faster clip analyzer.

And make that "share liveset" thing work and make it free..

What we are doing a lot in "Arrangement View"? Drawing! Now think how much time takes method 1, method 2, and how much would take method 3?
Just a single click (via some key maybe), and here is the result! Even size adjustment for this tool would be nice
